LGBT Resource Center
Our Mission “The LGBT Resource Center at UC San Diego is a diverse, open and public space for all members of the University community to explore issues relating to sexual and gender identities, practices and politics. It develops student leadership, builds workplace equity, promotes academic research, and provides resources. The center challenges existing definitions of variant genders and sexualities by engaging in community building on- and off-campus. This center sustains and develops visibility, sense of community, and knowledge of diverse queer people.”

Books for Prisoners

Books for Prisoners is a non-profit, student organization at UCSD (University of California, San Diego) affiliated with Groundwork Bookstore. Our organization receives letters from inmates all over the country requesting books and resources. We send donated books (textbooks, novels, magazines, dictionaries, etc) directly to the inmates who write to us. In return they often send us artwork, stories and letters about their lives inside the prison system. Our goal is to help better educate inmates while they are incarcerated in the prison system while at the same time we try to educate the public about the Prison Industrial Complex.

Food Coop
The UCSD food co-op is a student owned and operated non-profit collective. We are committed to serving the UCSD population with low cost, nutritious, and socially responsible food.
